Book: Hologram for the King by Dave Eggers
A National Book Award Finalist, One of the New York Times Book Review's 10 Best Books of the Year, One of the Best Books of the Year from The Boston Globe and San Francisco Chronicle In a rising Saudi Arabian city, far from weary, recession-scarred America, a struggling businessman named Alan Clay pursues a last-ditch attempt to stave off foreclosure, pay his daughter's college tuition, and finally do something great. In A Hologram for the King, Dave Eggers takes us around the world to show how one man fights to hold himself and his splintering family together.
We need YOU!
We had lots of volunteers sign up to be involved in OHMC, but we still need a few people in these areas. Look over these opportunities and see where you might be able to help. You can sign up online.

Volunteer Outreach
As part of our volunteer outreach for this year, we are hoping we could make monthly donations to a local transitional housing shelter that provides support to homeless women and their children. It's called The Aurora House.
For November it seems a great time of year to help them stock their kitchens with things from their wishlist. Dish washing soap, can openers, salt/pepper shakers, crock pots, cookie sheets, and plastic storage bowls with lids - new or gently used. If you would like to contribute, simply drop anything at Tiffany Houser's side door (3758 Edgevale Rd) by November 21st, and she will take it to them on November 22nd. Thanks ladies!
You are my Sunshine!
From Chrissy Deiget -- I am excited to be the new sunshine relief/ meal train coordinator this year! If you know of any fellow member that may benefit from this, please contact me! [email protected]. Know of a neighbor with a recent surgery? A mothers's club friend with a new baby? Lets show our club love and support!
