Summer Events
I have one member who will host a pool party this summer, but looking for a couple of other members to head up a trip to the zoo, a park playdate, Moms Night Out, or some other fabulous idea. Email me if you are willing to pick a date, set up an evite, and have some fun.

My husband (Sunny) and I moved to the Village from Columbus last June. My husband grew up in Ottawa Hills and I am from Luckey, OH, just outside Perrysburg. We met while studying at The Ohio State University and decided to make NW Ohio our permanent home while we were expecting. We recently welcomed our first child, Reena Rose in late December (12/27/13). My husband is a Psychiatrist here and started his practice in March. You may see us pushing the stroller around Hasty Hills on a nice day or out walking our little puppy, Ziggy. We both enjoy working out, grilling out, and chilling out. We look forward to starting our family here and meeting new friends.

They have several great activities happening -- social events - Wine Down Wednesdays; volunteer -- Wordshop creative writing class & Dolly Parton's Imagination Library; a golf series; & a fall women's speaker Valorie Burton. Check out their website for more details & to register for events.
Summer Help is Coming!
If there are any college students coming home from college that are looking for babysitting jobs, just let me know & I will get their information communicated. Also don't forget about the babysitting list available from the Office of Village Life. A former Mom's Club member, Leah Hilman, asked me to post the following:
My name is Lane Smith (Hileman) and I am a graduating senior from the University of Virginia and an Ottawa Hills graduate -- class of 2010. Growing up in the Village with a mom just like you, makes me familiar with the summer routine. I have lots of experience as I have 2 little brothers that I tutored, threw ball with, and drove all over town. If you are in need of a summer sitter, I would love to work with your kids.
I am seeking either a full time or part time babysitting job(s). If you are looking for a week night or weekend sitter I am also available. I have my own car, access to a club pool, and am more than happy to tutor your children with supplemental education materials that you provide. I am available from mid-June until school starts in August.
Feel free to contact me with any questions; my cell number: (419) 343-2637, or my e-mail address: [email protected]
