Ottawa Hills Moms Club Bylaws
GENERAL
Membership to the club is unlimited and new members are admitted on request. Members must live in the Ottawa Hills Village.
DUES
Each member will pay annual dues of $20 per year to cover club expenses (postage, some events, etc). Dues must be paid to the current Treasurer by the 31st of October each year. New members must pay upon joining. Member’s names will not be included on the roster if dues are not paid on time. Members will not receive a newsletter and will not be permitted to attend club activities until dues are paid.
OFFICERS
Officers will be elected to a one-year term.
President: Shall preside at meetings and act as head of the organization. Work in cooperation with the secretary to provide members with an up-to-date roster and will maintain an active membership by enforcing the rules and regulations of the club. Recruit new members and supply them with club information. Contact appropriate coordinators to place new members in designated activities. Plan and organize new Moms Club activities and committees. Help plan events by keeping in contact with Committee Event Chairpersons. Place birth announcements in the monthly Moms Club newsletter and write a monthly newsletter message. Will fill a coordinators position if the current coordinator moves or cannot fulfill duties.
Secretary/Treasurer: Shall keep the minutes of any meeting and work in cooperation with the President to provide members with up-to-date membership list and database. If the President should resign, the Secretary shall assume the duties until a new President is in place. Shall collect dues and keep an accurate record of all monies paid out and received. Shall provide coordinators with current member reports/sign-up lists.
New Member Coordinator: Shall welcome new members into the Moms Club. Maintain a current package of information and welcome gifts for distribution to new members.
Playgroup Coordinator: Shall organize weekly locations of playgroups for moms and tots and provide President with monthly schedules. Place any new or existing member in appropriate playgroup.
Supper Club Coordinator: Shall organize Supper Club Committee meeting. Shall report new committee guidelines for Supper Club activity to members in newsletter. Shall place members in Supper Club groups and designate coordinators for each group. Shall maintain list of substitute Club guests for Club hostesses.
Sunshine Relief Coordinator: Coordinate/schedule interested members to provide meals to member families when appropriate (new baby, family emergency, etc).
